Peter L. Corson

Peter L. Corson is an equity partner with the Firm and devotes his practice primarily to workers’ compensation defense, and also handles general liability claims and the defense of personal liability claims. He is a member of the Mississippi Bar since 1986, and is admitted to practice in all State Courts in Mississippi, as well as the Northern and Southern U.S. District Courts federal courts and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Corson has extensive motion, trial, and appellate practice and experience in both state and federal courts, and has successfully tried, arbitrated, mediated and settled numerous cases. Mr. Corson received his B.A. in history from Mansfield University in 1979, and his J.D. from Mississippi College School of Law in 1985, where he was a member of Phi Alpha Delta and the National Appellate Advocacy Team. Mr. Corson joined the Firm in 2003, and represents numerous employers, insurance carriers and self insured funds. Mr. Corson also regularly lectures to professionals on topics regarding workers’ compensation law and defense, as well as related areas of the law.
